Managing a line of guests at the door while juggling phone calls and table seatings can get chaotic. We've introduced a dedicated Quick Walk-In and Book Reservation shortcut bar at the top of your admin dashboard and reservations pages.
Key Highlights for Front-of-House Speed:
- 1-Tap Party Size Buttons: Quickly tap presets for 1 to 8+ guests without typing.
- Immediate Status Selection: Choose between "Seat Now" (instantly marks the guest as
SEATED) or "Waiting / Confirmed" for guests grabbing a drink at the bar. - Smart Table Auto-Allocation: Let the system automatically pick the best-fitting available table, or pick a specific table manually.
- Optional Email & Guest Capture: Collect guest emails for repeat visit tracking and guest CRM records without sending unnecessary confirmation emails to guests who are already standing at your entrance.
- Global Keyboard Hotkeys:
- Press W anywhere in the admin area to launch the Quick Walk-In modal.
- Press B or N to open the New Reservation modal.
- Press / to jump straight into the Reservation Search Bar.
- Press Esc to close any active modal or panel.
📢 2. Giant High-Visibility Seating Confirmation Popup
When host staff auto-assign a walk-in or create a quick reservation during service, looking down at a small notification toast in the corner of the screen isn't fast enough.
We've introduced a high-visibility, center-screen confirmation modal:
- Displays the assigned Table Number (e.g. TABLE 3 or TABLE 1) in giant 60px bold typography.
- Shows the room name, guest name, party size, and any special notes at a glance.
- Staff can glance at the host screen from across the room and instantly call out the table assignment to a floor runner.
- Pressing Enter, Space, or Esc dismisses the modal in a fraction of a second.
🎨 3. Full Restaurant Branding & Look & Feel Controls
Your booking page should feel like your restaurant, not a third-party directory. Under Settings → Branding & Appearance, venues now have total control over their public booking page (/[slug]/book), landing page, and embedded widget:
- Logo & Header Banner Uploads: Powered by Supabase Storage, upload your custom logo and dining room hero images with instant previewing.
- Primary Accent Colors: Choose your primary brand color using custom hex codes or brand presets (Terracotta, Forest Green, Deep Navy, Burgundy, Charcoal). Buttons, active calendar dates, step indicators, and link highlights automatically adopt your color.
- Background Vibe Themes:
- Clean White / Light Gray (Minimal & modern)
- Warm Stone / Cream (Cozy bistro feel)
- Midnight / Dark Mode (Cocktail lounges & upscale dim dining)
- Corner Styling & Radius: Choose between Rounded / Soft, Pill / Curved, or Sharp / Square button and card shapes.
- Typography Selection: Switch between Serif / Elegant (Playfair / Lora), Sans / Modern (Inter), or Monospace / Craft (Geist Mono).
- Custom Notice & Policy Banners: Highlight important booking rules (e.g., "Tables held for 15 minutes") at the top of the form.
- Custom Thank-You Messages: Add personalized confirmation notes displayed on-screen and included in emails.
- Seamless Widget Mode: Toggle borderless mode to embed the booking widget cleanly into Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress sites.

Tagging reservations for special requests, dietary needs, or table placement is crucial for smooth service.
- Custom Label Maintenance: Manage custom booking tags (e.g. VIP, High Chair, Window Table, Allergy, Anniversary) with custom color coding in Settings.
- On-the-Fly Creation: Create and color-code new labels directly inside the Quick Walk-In or Reservation modals without leaving the form.
- 1-Click Status Filter Pills: Filter your reservation list on the admin page with live count pills for All, Confirmed, Seated, Completed, Pending, No Show, and Cancelled.
📧 5. Fully Branded Customer Email Notifications
All guest confirmation, reminder, update, and cancellation emails automatically inherit your venue's branding:
- Displays your uploaded Header Banner Image at the top of the email container.
- Renders your Restaurant Logo centered above the booking details.
- Colors call-to-action buttons (Manage Booking) with your chosen Primary Accent Color.
- Includes your Custom Thank-You Message inside a styled callout box.
